The Dinner Plate

In collaboration with X-maal products, Roots Biopack introduces a new environmentally friendly innovation: the 5to9-plate The 5to9-plate (Dinner Plate) is a special dish with 2 compartments and an opening for a drinking cup. The Dinner Plate makes it possible to serve both food and drink with one hand. The 5to9-plate's unique design gives the product great versatility. The Dinner Plate is suitable for foodstuffs, is environmentally friendly and meets the European composting norm EN-13432 because of the use of sugar cane in its production.

The fact that the products of Roots Biopack are completely plant-based, do not affect food supplies and are fully compostable, have been the deciding factors in our decision.”

“We have been involved from the design stage to the final production of the 5to9-plate", says Peter van Rosmalen (Sales Manager Roots Biopack Europe). “Together with X-maal products we have looked into ways of improving the quality of the product. After several designs, we recently received the final prototypes. The reactions have been very positive and X-maal products has signed its first order. This product offers definite added value, particularly during festivals and events, both for the visitor and the (environmentally-friendly) festival organisation.”
