DIN CERTCO (7P0056) is a certification regulation for compostable products made out of biologically degradable materials. The certification is an integrated part of an industrial recycling system. Products that are certified carry the compostable logo (seedling logo).
The latest version of this certification regulation consists of two standards:
- EN-13432 (previously DIN V 54900) - Packaging - Conditions for compostability and biodegradability.
- ASTM D 6400 - 'StandardSpecification for Compostable bioplastics'
